At the NEM Summit 2024, Louay Bassbouss from the FAME business unit will give a presentation on the topic of ‘Efficient Rendering and Streaming of Virtual Worlds in the Web4.0 Era’.

Deutsche TV-Plattform is continuing its successful Plugfest series in cooperation with DTG UK in 2024. The 15th edition took place at Fraunhofer FOKUS in Berlin. Following the Plugfest (October 07 to 09), an additional HbbTV Testing Event of the HbbTV Association (HbbTV Testing Group) took place at the same venue (October 09 to 11). The focus of the Plugfest was on HbbTV, streaming, immersive audio and DVB-I, as well as traditionally on UHD-HDR tests (HDMI).

Dr. Louay Bassbouss, Senior Project Manager in the business unit FAME, will give a talk on April 4th from 09:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on the topic „The Metaverse Standards Forum (MSF): activities and vision“.

The Deutsche TV-Plattform will continue its Plugfest series. The focus will be on tests for HbbTV, streaming, immersive audio and DVB-I, as well as UHD-HDR (HDMI) tests. Following the Plugfest, the HbbTV Testing Event will take place from June 28 to 30, offering HbbTV implementers the opportunity to conduct tests on their devices and address any issues with the implementation.

Christoph Müller, scientist in the business unit Future Applications and Media, will give a lecture on April 4 from 3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the topic: “DeepEncode - AI-based video encoding in practice”. The event is held in german.
