Jana Plomin

Jana Plomin is Co-Lead of the Open User Lab, where she advises industry and public sector organizations at the European, federal, and state levels on digital transformation projects, with a particular focus on user-centered design, user experience (UX), digital accessibility, and organizational development. She specializes in the human-centered design of AI-supported public services and administrative processes, investigating how artificial intelligence can be integrated in an inclusive and user-centered manner.

As a Project Manager, she leads and contributes to projects related to data strategy and digital transformation. Jana Plomin studied Psychology with a specialization in Engineering Psychology at the University of Göttingen, the University of Seville, and Humboldt University of Berlin. Before joining Fraunhofer FOKUS, she worked in the field of Human Factors, conducting research on human–robot interaction and user experience in virtual reality.
