In water management, methods, tools and data for interdisciplinary research work have lacked in many cases to date. The project “Data4Water - Excellence in Smart Data and Services for Supporting Water Management” is now intended to advance this research and make results available to other stakeholders.

In various workshops, scientists can exchange ideas on the topic of water management and hydroinformatics. From this, publications with high visibility on water management are to be produced, and the formation of an active network with relevant stakeholders is to be promoted.

Fraunhofer FOKUS is cooperating with the Polytehnica University of Bucharest on this project and training the scientists in working with data to better integrate data into the European research field.

The consortium consists of the Politehnica University of Bucharest, University of Milano-Bicocca, UNESCO-IHE Delft and Fraunhofer FOKUS.
