Qompiler
Duration: Jan. 01, 2022 to Dec. 31, 2024

The development of quantum algorithms, potentially exponentially faster than classical algorithms, is attracting widespread interest in business and science. So far, however, the ability to implement these algorithms in accessible and user-friendly quantum programming, as known from classical computer science, is missing. Therefore, in the project "Qompiler - Standardized Quantum Software Stack" a software stack with a higher-level quantum programming language is being developed.

SPATIAL
Duration: Sep. 01, 2021 to Aug. 31, 2024

Artificial intelligence (AI) is being treated as a key technology that can make cars drive intelligently and autonomously, supply chains easier to plan, production processes more efficient, and thus achieve sustainability goals. However, legal-ethical issues, data protection, and resilience also play a role in the use of AI. The SPATIAL (Security and Privacy Accountable Technology Innovations, Algorithms, and Machine Learning) project, which has now been launched, aims to answer questions relating to trustworthy AI.

IML4E
Duration: May 01, 2021 to Apr. 30, 2024

The IML4E project has therefore brought together companies from the main sectors of the European software industry to develop a European framework for the development, operation and maintenance of AI-based software to ensure the development of intelligent services and intelligent software on an industrial scale.

KYKLOS 4.0
Duration: Jan. 01, 2020 to Dec. 31, 2023

KYKLOS 4.0 aims to develop an innovative Circular Manufacturing ecosystem based on novel CPS (Circular Production System) and AI (Artificial Intelligence) technologies, enhanced with novel production mechanisms and algorithms, targeting personalized products with extended life cycle and promoting energy efficient and low material consumption intra-factory production processes, resulting in reduced greenhouse gas emissions and air pollutants.

IoTAC
Duration: Sep. 01, 2020 to Aug. 31, 2022

The IOTAC project aims to develop a novel, secure, and privacy-friendly IoT architecture that will facilitate secure IoT applications' development and operation.

KIEZ 4.0
Duration: July 01, 2020 to June 30, 2023

Although solutions of Artificial Intelligence (AI) have gained importance in many economic sectors, they cannot be used in aviation, as they cannot be certified yet. The KIEZ 4.0 project will examine and formulate the technical, the ethical and legal requirements and implications for the use of artificial intelligence in aviation and lay the groundwork for certification approaches.

Quantum Technology Professional
Duration: Jan. 01, 2022 to Dec. 31, 2022

In the project Quantum Technology Professional, a modular, application-oriented and continuously expandable continuing education program for the topics of quantum computing and quantum technologies will be created.

IntelliSecTest
Duration: June 01, 2020 to May 31, 2023

The IntelliSecTest project will combine the commonly used techniques of static analysis and dynamic analysis in order to allow for more comprehensive testing. The Fraunhofer joint project will therefore contribute to making security testing more accessible, while at the same time achieving better test results.

Attack-based automation of security testing for IoT applications
Duration: Sep. 01, 2020 to Aug. 31, 2022

The project »Attack-based automation of security testing for IoT applications« will thus develop end-to-end automation of security testing using genetic algorithms, fuzzing, and data analysis techniques for attack detection, to support the development of effective patches against security vulnerabilities.

XIVT
Duration: Nov. 01, 2018 to Oct. 31, 2021

Within the XIVT project, a method and toolchain will be defined for testing highly configurable, variant-rich embedded systems. This will enable a highly effective, cost-efficient quality assurance, allowing the shift to autonomous, flexible and adaptive applications. The method is founded on a knowledge-based analysis of requirements. It is expected that XIVT methods will result in higher test coverage, more flexible processes of higher quality and better products.

FORTIKA
Duration: June 01, 2017 to May 31, 2020

The FORTIKA project contributes to reducing the overall risk of cyber-crime against SMEs. They shall be able to react appropriately to attacks and incidents without having to invest a lot of resources themselves to secure their systems against external attacks. FORTIKA therefore follows a security by design hybrid approach, which provides protection based on hardware and software at the same time.
