Can I do a voluntary school internship at FOKUS during the holidays?

What does the application process look like?

Once you have sent us your application by e-mail, you will receive a confirmation of entry as soon as possible.From this point on, we will take care of finding a suitable internship in one of our business areas. As soon as this is taken care of, we will get back to you in writing to discuss all further details with you. An interview does not usually take place.

What documents should I enclose in my application?

Please send us a short cover letter with your motivation for an internship at FOKUS, your interests and the period of your internship. In addition, a copy of your last certificate and a short CV in tabular form would be ideal.

What application deadlines do I have to consider?

Ideally, you should send us your application two to three months before the start of your internship.

In which business areas is an internship possible?

Depending on availability, we offer internships for school students in all our business areas.

Is the student internship paid?

No, we do not generally pay for student internships.

Do I need a certain grade point average to be considered as a student intern?

No, a certain average grade is not required. Your interests and motivation for an internship with us are more important to us.

Does Fraunhofer FOKUS take part in Girls' Day?

Yes, we regularly take part in Girls' Day and look forward to receiving applications from interested female students. We will let you know as soon as possible on our website when registration is possible for the coming year!

We occasionally offer school leavers the opportunity to become a “Betriebsinformatiker” or “Betriebsinformatikerin”. The training takes place in a challenging research organization with the most modern hard- and software.
