Curriculum Vitae
Dipl.-Inform. Daniel Faust is Vice Head of the Business Unit ESPRI (Electronic Safety and Security Systems for the Public and Industries) at Fraunhofer FOKUS. He received his diploma degree in computer science from the Technical University of Magdeburg, where he specialized in software engineering, computer network and operating systems.
Since 1994, he has been working as a research scientist at Fraunhofer mainly in the areas of software engineering, distributed systems and location-based services. His further research interests include information logistics of early warning systems and their practicality for the purpose of networking existing safety solutions. With his long-standing experience as project manager, he is responsible for apprenticeship trainings at Fraunhofer FOKUS.
In addition to his research and management activities, he teaches “Distributed Systems“ at the University of Applied Sciences Berlin.
