Within the Franco-German project SAFEST (Social-Area Framework for Early Security Triggers at Airports), Fraunhofer FOKUS works together with its partner organisations (daviko GmbH,Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH, Forschungsforum Öffentliche Sicherheit, Freie Universität Berlin, Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, Institut National de Recherche en Informatique et en Automatique INRIA, SAGEM) on developing a comprehensive solution to ensure the safety and security of the general public and critical infrastructures.
The SAFEST project aims to analyse the social context of area surveillance and to develop a system that can fulfill this task, both in terms of technology as well as acceptance by the general public. With the information aggregated by Fraunhofer FOKUS, acceptance of said solution can be analyzed and better adapted to the needs of people.
