Education & Career
Michell received a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Science from the Technical University of Berlin. He is currently working as a Scientist for the Fraunhofer Institute for Open Communication Systems FOKUS, where he is active in the research group for Smart Cities. Furthermore, he is an active member of the group Quality Engineering for Quantum Computing. In his work at Fraunhofer FOKUS, Michell is involved in several industry and research projects in the areas of Smart Cities, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, IT Security, and Smart Energy. In the BMWi-funded WindNODE project, he developed and evaluated a blockchain-based prototype for a digital energy market (flexibility trading). Currently, he is working in the H2020 project SPATIAL on the challenges and possible solutions of explainable and trustworthy Artificial Intelligence in ICT systems and cybersecurity applications.
