Martin Schneider is Senior Scientist and Head of Testing at the Business Unit SQC
Education and Career
Martin Schneider graduated with a master degree in computer science (Dipl.-Inform.). Since 2012, he has been working as a researcher at Fraunhofer FOKUS and is engaged in advanced testing methods and techniques. Currently, Martin Schneider works on model-based testing techniques for security aspects based on different fuzzing techniques, security test patterns and security testing metrics. For that, he refines fuzzing techniques and designs complementary ones. Moreover, Martin Schneider works on the integration of other methods like the risk analysis in order to increase the efficiency of fuzz testing.
Within the scope of his research activity, Martin Schneider contributed to different European research projects like DIAMONDS, RASEN, MIDAS, PREVENT, and U-Test. These develop and evaluate innovative security test methods in the frame of various industrial domains with special focus on complex systems, cyber-physical systems and service-oriented architectures.
