Although these services have established themselves as the standard fo IT delivery in recent years, most services are audited only sparsely, mostly by third-party providers. This may lead to security vulnerabilities, which possibly scare of potential users. Through the process of Continuous auditing based certification, which was developed within the framework of the EU-SEC project and which is explained in detail in the white paper, these potential areas of harm can be avoided.
