The guideline was drawn up by the VDE “Energy Blockchain Task Force”. A number of stakeholders from science, industry, and research are involved in the task force. FOKUS scientists have contributed to the development of the guideline, too, and provided their expertise with the blockchain technology. They were able to draw on their experiences of the SINTEG project WindNODE, in which blockchain solutions for the energy trading sector are developed and evaluated.

Further, the “Energy Blockchain” expert group will also prepare a white paper by the end of the year, which will build on the results of the guideline paper on blockchain. The white paper will explore the new technological possibilities that blockchain technology offers in the field of sustainable energy production.
