Alinka Rother is a research associate at the Competence Centre Öffentliche IT (ÖFIT) (Public IT) at the Fraunhofer Institute FOKUS. There she is concerned with digital political matters, particularly with regard to public administration. She is primarily interested in the transfer of knowledge from research to practice. She studied political science in Munich and Berlin. Before joining Fraunhofer FOKUS, she worked at acatech - National Academy of Science and Engineering in the field of scientific political and social consulting.
