Fraunhofer Academy

Within the framework of the Fraunhofer Academy, the business unit ESPRI – collaborative safety and security developed training courses for specialists and users in the CyberSecurity learning laboratory with the University of Applied Sciences Berlin (HTW Berlin). The Cyber Security Learning Lab of the Fraunhofer Academy is a cooperation between Fraunhofer and selected universities of applied sciences.

The training courses and seminars offer participants a compact qualification in the areas of data protection and IT security. On the basis of real threat scenarios, it is necessary to recognize meaning and consequences and to develop solution concepts.

The training courses and seminars are aimed at developers of critical IT systems, project managers in product development in the area of critical infrastructures and authorities/organizations with security tasks, as well as security officers and operations managers.

Upon completion of the seminars, participants will be able to plan and implement the implementation of the regulations of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Federal Data Protection Act.

In addition, they learn how to assess threats to IT systems of public safety and critical infrastructures and how to implement appropriate measures in accordance with the requirements of the german IT security law and the basic EU General Data Protection Regulation.
