Nicole Opiela is deputy head of the Competence Centre Öffentliche IT (ÖFIT) (Public IT) and researches socio-technical trends and developments in the federal system at the interface between society, administration and politics. Her focus is on data-driven projects (e.g. Deutschland-Index der Digitalisierung (Germany Index of Digitalisation)) and the investigation of digitalisation from a technical and social perspective using empirical social research methods. Nicole studied political science and public law at the Universities of Mannheim and Hamburg.
