Dr. techn. Minh Nguyen

Minh Nguyen received his Engineering degree at Hanoi University of Science and Technology in 2018 and his Ph.D. degree at the Institute of Information Technology (ITEC), Alpen-Adria-Universität Klagenfurt (AAU), Austria in 2023. After his Ph.D, Minh was working as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Scalable Platform for Innovations on Real-time Immersive Telepresence (SPIRIT) project at AAU.

Currently, he is working as a Research Associate in the Business Unit Future Applications and Media (FAME) at the Fraunhofer Institute for Open Communications (FOKUS). His research interests are adaptive video streaming, multimedia networking, Augmented and Virtual Reality, and QoS/QoE evaluation. Minh has published various research papers covering topics around Adaptive Bitrate (ABR) algorithms, adaptive streaming over HTTP/2, HTTP/3 and QUIC, and QoE in Augmented Reality. He also applied for several patents in these topics.
