Successful completion of the Software Campus project

Dr. Christopher Krauss from the “Future Applications and Media - FAME” business unit received his certificate for successful participation in the Software Campus Mentoring Programme on July 2, 2018. The certificate was handed over by Dr. Harald Schöning, Head of Research at Software AG, who congratulated the 23 graduates of the 2018 class.

Christopher Krauss's Software Campus project was supported by the Holtzbrinck Publishing Group as industrial partner (supervised by Christian Gerlich, CIO Holtzbrinck Buchverlage GmbH) and by Fraunhofer FOKUS as academic partner (supervised by Prof. Dr. Manfred Hauswirth, Director of Fraunhofer FOKUS). The project entitled “Semantic analyses to improve predictive data mining algorithms” was realized by Christopher Krauss and his team from February 2015 to August 2017. The topic is also linked to the dissertation on “Time-Dependent Recommender Systems for the Prediction of Appropriate Learning Objects”.

The Software Campus trains the IT managers of tomorrow and opens up excellent career prospects for young IT experts in Germany. It combines top research and management practice in a new concept. The programme supports outstanding master's and doctoral students in computer science as well as computer science-related disciplines with a great interest in management tasks in business or business start-ups. A total of 20 partners from industry and research support the management development programme, which is financed by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) with up to 100.000 Euro per participant.
