Björn Riemer studied Technical Computer Science at the TFH of applied science in Berlin and received his diploma thesis in 2004 and his M.eng in 2008 with emphasis on embedded systems. Afterwards, he joined the Fraunhofer Institute for Open Communication Systems (FOKUS) in Berlin. He worked in different projects in the field of wireless sensor networks, RFID systems, WLAN mesh networks and middleware systems for home automation and smart energy. He also supervised bachelor theses at the Beuthhochschule. In June 2014 he joined the chair of Next Generation Networks (AV) at the Technical University Berlin. Now he works in the field of virtual 5G core network components and testbed infrastructure for the Business Unit NGNI at Fraunhofer FOKUS.
