How to find us
Train
From Berlin Hauptbahnhof take the S-Bahn line S3 (direction Spandau), S5 (direction Westkreuz) or S7 (direction Potsdam Hbf) to S Charlottenburg station, then change to underground line U7 (direction Rathaus Spandau) to underground station Mierendorffplatz. From there you can walk along the Kaiserin-Augusta-Allee to the institute (about 8 minutes) or take the bus M27 (direction Pankow) to the stop Goslarer Platz. Directly at the bus stop is the institute.
Plane
From the Berlin-Brandenburg airport (BER) take the regional train RB14 (direction Nauen) or RE7 (direction Dessau) to Bhf Charlottenburg (every 15-45 minutes), then take the U7 (direction Rathaus Spandau) to underground station Mierendorffplatz. From there you can walk along the Kaiserin-Augusta-Allee in about eight minutes to the institute or take the bus M27 (direction Pankow) to the stop Goslarer Platz. The institute is directly in front of the bus stop.
Alternatively, you can take the regional trains R7 or R17 (direction Berlin main station) to the main station, get on the 245 bus heading towards S+U Zoologischer Garten and change onto the M27 bus heading to S+U Jungfernheide at Alt-Moabit/Tiergarten station. Get off at the Goslarer Platz station, directly in front of FOKUS.
A taxi drive from BER airport is estimated to cost 54 euros.
Car
Highway A 115 (Avus) from Hannover, Leipzig, Nuremberg or A 100 to junction Charlottenburg, from there along the Spandauer Damm, right over the Luisenplatz and the Mierendorffstraße into the Kaiserin-Augusta-Allee up to Goslarer Platz; or A 115 or A 111 to motorway junction Charlottenburg, at the exit Jakob-Kaiser-Platz on the Tegeler Weg, turn left into the Osnabrücker Straße, at the end of the Mierendorffplatz in the Kaiserin-Augusta-Allee to Goslarer Platz. The parking facilities near the institute are limited. We recommend arriving by public transport or by taxi.
