Project Objective
KI-AutoNet identifies the needs and challenges of industry to make the operation of campus networks significantly simpler, more efficient, and more cost-effective using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital twins.
The focus is on:
- the automation of network planning, operation, and optimization,
- reducing complexity and operating costs
- as well as lowering barriers to market entry, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
A key outcome of the project is a strategic roadmap for “Digital Twins for German Industries”, which paves the way for the widespread use of AI-supported, automated network solutions.
Methodology
The KI-AutoNet project systematically and practically assesses the needs of industry. This is achieved through a combination of sector analyses, stakeholder mapping, interactive workshops, structured questionnaires, feedback evaluations, and in-depth interviews. The results are incorporated into the strategic roadmap as well as into concrete recommendations for action for industry and policymakers.
Opportunities for Corporate Participation
The KI-AutoNet project relies on close collaboration with companies to develop practical and needs-based recommendations for action.
