Andreea Ancuta Corici

Dr.-Ing. Andreea Ancuta Corici is a research scientist in the Telehealth division of the Collaborative Safety and Security business unit and works on the development of secure and interoperable communication platforms for healthcare services. She is currently involved in the 6G-PATH project, among others, with a focus on AI-supported wound management and bioprinting.

Previously, she contributed to the DEMIS project, in which a production-ready solution for the electronic reporting of positive COVID-19 test results was developed within six months. Until mid-2019, she served as a project manager, technical manager, and software architect in EU and industry projects and played a key role in the development of Open5GCore. In addition, she worked on OpenIMSCore and OpenEPC, including in the areas of offline charging, emergency services, and policy and charging control. She led or supported several European research projects, including 6G-PATH, mGov4EU, TRESCIMO, FI-STAR, and ELioT.

She completed her degree in computer science in 2009 at the Politehnica University of Bucharest. She earned her Ph.D. from the Technische Universität Berlin with a dissertation titled “Access Control for M2M Infrastructures in 5G Networks,” receiving a magna cum laude distinction. Since 2021, she has also been pursuing a master’s degree in Human Factors at TU Berlin, focusing on the intersection of psychology, engineering, cognitive modeling, and artificial intelligence.
