The MIDAS project aims at building an integrated framework for SOA testing automation that will be available as a Software as a Service (SaaS) on a cloud infrastructure. The framework spans all the testing activities: test generation, execution, evaluation, planning and management.

In the RODOS (RObot based Driving and Operation Simulator) project, Fraunhofer FOKUS, in cooperation with Fraunhofer ITWM, developed the world's first interactive simulator based on an industrial robot with a payload of 1,000 kg.

The SPRINT project - short for Software Platform for Integration of Engineering and Things - aims at overcoming the challenges presented by today's silo'ed approach, where the actual integration and testing of various components is only possible once a system can be completely assembled.

The changes in energy policy pose new challenges to the power grid. Thermal power stations, windmills, photovoltaic plants as well as energy accumulators shall all be fed into the power supply system without causing any fluctuations. The control of such decentralized systems is performed using the VHPready standard.
