SEE.4C will define a set of analytics tasks (the principal task being forecasting electricity grid traffic) and design a specially tailored competition. Participants and teams will submit algorithms to be evaluated on an special cloud-based computational environment.

Cloud for Europe (C4E) addresses the goals of the European Cloud Partnership program. The main objectives of C4E are to build trust in European Cloud Computing, to remove the obstacles for Cloud adoption and to harmonize the requirements from different public organizations beyond national borders. The program is co-funded by the European Commission under the Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (FP7).

In the context of the European Technology Initiative ARTEMIS Joint Undertaking, the project CRYSTAL aims at fostering Europe’s leading edge position in embedded systems engineering, particularly regarding quality and cost effectiveness of safety-critical embedded systems and architecture platforms.

Fraunhofer FOKUS supports the Zentrum für Marine Umweltwissenschaften at the Universität Bremen with the development of a telepresence system for the ship’s control container. It consists of an upright dome projection with a horizontal and vertical angle of 180°.

In the METAR project, Fraunhofer FOKUS supports the BMW Group by assisting them with different work packages and groups of the AUTOSAR development partnership. The RASEN project’s main objective is the strengthening of European organisations’ ability to conduct security assessments of large scale networked systems through the combination of security risk assessment and security testing, taking into account the context in which the system is used.
