The project aims to strengthen software supply chains by introducing a data-driven, AI-empowered framework for assurance-driven security engineering that delivers continuous compliance, proactive threat management, and certifiable trustworthiness across the IoT-edge-cloud continuum.

In the EXPAND+ER WB³ project, the vision of educator Otto Herz is applied to the field of vocational education. The technology partners of the BMBF-funded EXPAND+ER WB³ project develop a scalable platform that protects privacy and enables users to search for and receive recommendations for further education courses.

In the project Quantum Technology Professional, a modular, application-oriented and continuously expandable continuing education program for the topics of quantum computing and quantum technologies will be created.

The Qurator project aims to help curate activities and digital content generation in various industries that are more high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective through automation.

The IntelliSecTest project will combine the commonly used techniques of static analysis and dynamic analysis in order to allow for more comprehensive testing. The Fraunhofer joint project will therefore contribute to making security testing more accessible, while at the same time achieving better test results.

Although solutions of Artificial Intelligence (AI) have gained importance in many economic sectors, they cannot be used in aviation, as they cannot be certified yet. The KIEZ 4.0 project will examine and formulate the technical, the ethical and legal requirements and implications for the use of artificial intelligence in aviation and lay the groundwork for certification approaches.

In the PlanQK project, a web-based knowledge platform for so-called quantum-assisted artificial intelligence (QKI) is being developed. The goal is to create a technical basis for promoting knowledge and technology exchange between quantum and AI experts, developers, and potential users of QKI.

In the “KI-Wissen” project, 16 project partners are working on artificial intelligence (AI)-based processes for fully automated driving.

KYKLOS 4.0 aims to develop an innovative Circular Manufacturing ecosystem based on novel CPS (Circular Production System) and AI technologies, enhanced with novel production mechanisms and algorithms, targeting personalized products with extended life cycle and promoting energy efficient and low material consumption intra-factory production processes, resulting in reduced greenhouse gas emissions and air pollutants.

The collaborative research project CANARIA aims to create an innovative in-flight entertainment system based on a federated communication and edge-computing network architecture. CANARIA brings together state-of-the-art technologies in networked aircraft of the future, cloud computing, and cutting-edge methods for data processing using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
