The 13th FOKUS Media Web Symposium (#FOKUSMWS) is set to be a must-attend event for industry leaders and media tech enthusiasts in Berlin, Germany, on June 16-17, 2026. Hosted by Fraunhofer FOKUS, this annual international conference continues to be a premier platform for exploring advancements in Internet-based media delivery.

The symposium will once again span two days, with the first day dedicated to insightful tutorials, hands-on workshops, and engaging exhibitions. The second day will shift focus to key trends and business discussions within the media technology landscape. Renowned experts from around the world will present their insights and share experiences on the latest developments and future trends in web and media technologies. 

As we prepare for another exciting edition, we look back at the success of the 12th FOKUSMWS, which welcomed over 280 participants from 21 countries. With 6 tutorials, 4 workshops, and 7 conference sessions featuring 83 speakers, the event explored innovations in QUIC-based streaming, low-latency delivery, sustainable media infrastructures, and real-time video platforms. A generational shift in leadership also marked a new chapter for the symposium, reinforcing its role as a hub for media technology advancement.
