Dr.-Ing. Ilja Radusch

Ilja Radusch is director of the business unit Smart Mobility at Fraunhofer Institute FOKUS and head of the Daimler Center for Automotive Information Technology Innovations (DCAITI) at TU Berlin.

He has many years of experience in the fields of connected and automated mobility, AI-based perception, and simulation of location-based applications.

With his team, he develops and evaluates prototypical mobility services that promote safe, efficient, and sustainable mobility, with a particular focus on people on foot and on bikes. The goal is to improve mobility for everyone – both in the streets and indoors.

Dr Ilja Radusch is an expert in sustainable, connected and automated mobility – particularly in urban areas. In an interview, he explains how a digital twin can be used as the basis for urban mobility.
