Since 2002, Carsten Schmoll has been working as a researcher at Fraunhofer FOKUS and, since 2013, as a member of the Digital Public Services division. Until 2013, his work focused on monitoring and analyzing transmission quality in IP-based data networks and on the migration to IPv6. His current areas of work focus on the consolidation and modernization of IT systems, with a particular emphasis on security aspects. His projects are primarily focused on the acquisition and modernization of IT projects for public administrations (State of Berlin/Federal Government) and their software security aspects, including the development of IT security concepts for these systems.
