Impressions of the FOKUS FUSECO Forum 2014: ”Cloud-based ICT Platforms and Virtualized Networks for flexible Ecosystem enablement within Smart Cities“

The 5th FFF was successfully held Nov 13-14, 2014 in Berlin, Germany. Around 230 delegates from 31 nations attended this intense two day event, bringing together international network operators, manufacturers, and researchers to discuss the ICT infrastructures needed for emerging Smart Cities. They benefited from the Fraunhofer-FOKUS FUSECO Forum tradition of established tutorial and workshop streams, interactive afternoon workshops, international conferences and demonstrations!

In conjunction with the FOKUS FUSECO Forum 2014, XiFi, the capacity building part of the FI-PPP programme, is organizing an international FI-PPP Workshop, a full day workshop for the regional and international promotion of the European Future Internet – Public Private Partnership (FI-PPP) programme. The workshop, themed “Bridging the gap between Future Internet Research and Innovation” will cover high caliber presentations from international Future Internet coryphées from US (GENI, IGNITE, ON Lab), Europe (FIRE, FI-PPP), Japan (NICT), Korea (ETRI), Mexico (MTP), as well as many speakers from FI-PPP (Infrastructure, Usage Areas, Accelerators), as well as from the EIT ICT, 13th of November 2014 in Berlin, Germany.
