The aim of the project is to digitally complement or even replace classic event formats by using new immersive media formats when physical presence is not possible. The new media formats, include for example 3D audio, 360° videos, light fields and volumetric videos.

VirtuOS

The standard AUTOSAR already encapsulates a variety of approaches for integration of a broad array of functions in the car. Yet given the different safety requirements for the huge number of individual components, these approaches need to be re-assessed. Therefore, VirtuOS establishes new processes, tools and methods.

VITAL++ major objective is to combine and experiment with the best of the two worlds, namely, IMS-like control plane functionality and P2P technology giving rise into a new communication paradigm that will bring a wide range of benefits. The key to achieving this objective, is to put this paradigm under strenuous experimentation, carried out under realistic network conditions using popular applications.

The WIND - Next Generation information system enables a variety of customizable warning and information services to be made available via smartphone apps. The aim of this »all-round warning service« is that timely alerts in the various areas of life enable users to make necessary preparations and prevent personal injury or damage to property.
