The KI-LOK project, therefore, aims to develop new test procedures and methods for safeguarding and certifying AI-supported technologies for safety-critical applications in railroad technology.

The BMW Group's Symphony Project integrates development data from various data sources at BMW into one data model and tests the consistency to ensure the eventual compatibility and necessary software quality of the individual components.

The ALADIN project aims to ensure safer forest firefighting in the future employing demand-oriented 5G networking of emergency forces and response resources. As a first step, a nomadic, i.e. local and temporary, network is being set up at the Schönhagen airfield in Brandenburg. The network will then be used as a basis for controlling unmanned response equipment and monitoring and securing the site of operations.

Fraunhofer FOKUS supports the Zentrum für Marine Umweltwissenschaften at the Universität Bremen with the development of a telepresence system for the ship’s control container. It consists of an upright dome projection with a horizontal and vertical angle of 180°.

The project »Attack-based automation of security testing for IoT applications« will thus develop end-to-end automation of security testing using genetic algorithms, fuzzing, and data analysis techniques for attack detection, to support the development of effective patches against security vulnerabilities.

In close cooperation with industrial partners the competence centre for “Smart Environments” has designed and implemented an innovative content management system for AV content in the home environment and a corresponding demonstrator application.

aXBench is a softwaretool that makes it possible to realize different system variants in automotive engineering in compliance with the AUTOSAR standard. With aXBench, SQC has established a prototype for the function-oriented development of embedded systems in a vehicle.

In the National Research Data Infrastructure (NFDI), valuable data sets from science and research are made accessible, networked and usable for the German science system. Base4NFDI is a joint initiative of the NDFI to promote the development of reliable basic services.

The project “Berliner Digitaler Bahnbetrieb” (BerDiBa) tests and develops technologies for automated driving on railroads. Fraunhofer FOKUS will use its expertise in environment perception for automated vehicles and adapt its artificial intelligence tools for traffic on rails.
