Fraunhofer FOKUS is an experienced and competent partner for the development and application of digitalization technologies and the networking of distributed infrastructures. Fraunhofer FOKUS develops practical solutions in many national and international funded projects as well as in contract research for SMEs, large-scale industry and public administration.

  • FORTIKA

    Cyber Security Accelerator for trusted SMEs IT Ecosystems

    The FORTIKA project contributes to reducing the overall risk of cyber-crime against SMEs. They shall be able to react appropriately to attacks and incidents without having to invest a lot of resources themselves to secure their systems against external attacks. FORTIKA therefore follows a security by design hybrid approach, which provides protection based on hardware and software at the same time.

    Multicore-Architecture for Sensor-based Position Tracking in Space

    The goal of MUSE (Multicore-Architecture for Sensor-based Position Tracking in Space) is to improve the positioning of spacecraft. In this project, Fraunhofer FOKUS explores to what extent modern multicore processors are suited for analyzing sensor data in space, and how appropriate computer architecture should be set up.

    Virtualization of Live Events via Audiovisual Immersion

    The aim of the project is to digitally complement or even replace classic event formats by using new immersive media formats when physical presence is not possible. The new media formats, include for example 3D audio, 360° videos, light fields and volumetric videos.

    Within the scope of the project IoT an IoT testware is to be developed. The testing and certification of IoT solutions is to be made cost-effective for manufacturers.
