Fraunhofer FOKUS is a member of the Low-Code Association e.V.

News from Nov. 21, 2023

The Digital Public Services business unit has already cooperated with the Low-Code Association e.V. on several occasions. Since 9 November 2023, Fraunhofer FOKUS, represented by our group head Nadja Menz, is now also an official member of the association.

The Low-Code Association e.V. is an association of various low-code platform providers and service providers in German-speaking countries. The objective of the association is to promote the development and utilisation of low-code and no-code technologies in the Berlin-Brandenburg region, as well as nationally and internationally.

As we in the Digital Public Services business unit work in the Specialist Processes & Secure Infrastructures expert group on low-code methods for the digitalisation of public administration, there was great interest in networking knowledge and cooperating together.

Co-operation right from the start

In the past, our research associate Jan Gottschick was involved in the Association's Low-Code Manifesto. The purpose of the manifesto is to improve public understanding of low-code.

The joint publication “Low-Code-Canvas – Gestaltungsaspekte von Low-Code-Plattformen” was recently published. Our scientific team led by Jan Gottschick and Anna Opaska as well as Jens Tiemann, Competence Centre Öffentliche IT, contributed to this publication. The low-code canvas is intended as a proposal for the systematic consideration of low-code in order to derive individual requirements for ready-to-use software systems.

As a member of the association, we look forward to further exciting joint projects related to low-code.
