Sovereign, secure and high-quality digital systems form the foundation of a digitally capable society. To this end, the Sovereign Platform & Innovation Engineering (SPIN) business unit brings together expertise in security and trust, sovereignty and architecture, as well as engineering and quality.
Our researchers develop and evaluate solutions for complex, interconnected and regulated system landscapes. Security, data protection and resilience are taken into account from the outset as inherent properties of systems and architectures. Our work encompasses Security by Design, Zero Trust, Identity Management, Privacy by Design, critical infrastructure, sovereign cloud and AI architectures, and resilient software architectures.
Using requirements engineering, modelling and quality systems engineering, we support the entire lifecycle: from requirements through design and implementation to integration, evaluation and operation. Together with clients and partners from government, public infrastructure and the private sector, we combine scientific excellence with practical implementation. This results in transparent architectures, robust methods and sovereign platform solutions that enable innovation and build lasting trust.
