Chris Needham is a Principal Software Engineer at BBC R&D focusing on audio and video media on the web and open source software, developing prototypes for future BBC applications and services. He has over 20 years experience in software engineering, in the media industry, and in the defence and medical device industries before that. At W3C, Chris is co-chair of the Media & Entertainment Interest Group, and a contributor to the Second Screen Working Group and media related specifications in the Web Platform Incubator Community Group.
