Dr. Thomas Stockhammer received the Dipl.-Ing. and Dr.-Ing. degrees from the Munich University of Technology, Munich, Germany. After acting as founder and CEO for 10 years in a start-up, he joined Qualcomm in 2014 and holds a position as Director Technical Standards. Specifically, he is the active and has leadership and rapporteur positions in 3GPP, MPEG, IETF, DVB, ATSC and the DASH-Industry Forum in the area of multimedia communication, TV-distribution, content delivery protocols and adaptive streaming.
