Hauke is a maintainer and core developer of RIOT, and a research associate at Freie Universität Berlin, where he is perusing his PhD. After obtaining a B.Sc. in Computer Science from Hochschule Darmtadt and a M.Sc. in Computer Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark, Hauke worked some time as a 'Systems and Safety Engineer' for the German automotive industry. Hauke is passionate about embedded programming since more than ten years. His main interests are operating systems and networking for constrained, embedded devices in the IoT, with a focus on implementing advanced software on very constrained hardware platforms. Currently he works on a redesign of the network stack architecture in RIOT.
