Dr. Kazuhiko Kushima is currently a Senior Vice President of Service Innovation Laboratory Group at Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT), located in Yokosuka, Japan. Dr. Kushima received a B.S. degree in electronic engineering and a Ph.D degree in informatics from Kyoto University in Japan in 1980 and 2001, respectively. He joined NTT in 1980. He has engaged in research on artificial intelligence and multi-media database. From 2003 to 2009, he was with NTT DoCoMo. At NTT DoCoMo, he led the development and implementation of mobile services.

Media processing technology for extremely natural and highly value-added communication services
