Stefan Kaiser is Engineering Director of Video Technology at Zattoo.

He spent the last 12 years in the media streaming industry gaining experience in standardization (MPEG-DASH, HbbTV, DASH-IF) as well as building highly scalable video pipelines.

His expertise covers the whole end-to-end video workflow. This includes hands-on implementations of AVC/HEVC encoders and packagers for UHD adaptive-bitrate OTT delivery, DRM server implementations as well as client-side DRM-specific CDM implementations and MSE/EME playback.

Stefan also has a strong interest in dynamic ad insertion and wrote one of the first SSAI production systems seen in Europe.

Being passionate about the video technology industry in general, he also organises the Berlin Video Tech Meetup. Debatable, but he claims to know the best Currywurst and craft beer in Berlin.
