Martin focuses his research activities mainly on the delivery of media and application experiences in multi-device architectures, always with an eye on web security. He has been involved in national and international industry projects (e.g. with Deutsche Telekom, RedBullMediaHouse, Discovery) and various research projects dealing with cross-platform computing and distributed applications, from rapid prototyping apps to market-ready products and services. Martin has deep expertise in setting up and optimizing media workflows for video-on-demand applications as well as low-latency streaming, from sources to players. He has been actively involved in standardization activities such as HbbTV Testing Group and has contributed to several open source projects.
During his professional career he gained extensive experience in programming and building complex software projects using different programming languages, software stacks and related tools for agile software development. Currently, Martin loves to innovate using web-based development technologies such as node.js/TypeScript.
