Christopher Mueller is the CTO and Co-founder of Bitmovin. He founded Bitmovin out of research and standardization around MPEG streaming format, building a developer go-to-market startup providing software products for leading media companies worldwide – in a time where the video and television market is at an inflection point. Mueller leads Bitmovin's long-term technology vision, and is responsible for overseeing product development, industry thought leadership and advanced technology incubations. He is the author of research papers in areas of multimedia streaming, networking, and multimedia adaptation and currently holds several U.S. patents. Mueller participated in MPEG-DASH standardization and is the author of the MPEG-DASH reference software libdash and a contributor to multiple open source tools, notably MPEG-DASH VLC plugin and libdash.
