Louay Bassbouss

Louay Bassbouss studied Computer Engineering at the Technical University of Berlin (TUB). He received his diploma in October 2008 with the completion of his thesis about Automatic Service Composition in user-centric mobile networks. Since that time, he started working as research engineer at the Fraunhofer FOKUS’s Competence Center Future Applications and Media (FAME). His main research activities focus on multiscreen applications and related technologies and standards, service composition, collaboration and interaction within the area of service oriented architectures and Web 2.0. Louay Bassbouss has been involved in multiple national and international projects (BIONETS, Open Cities, Webinos, COLTRAM, etc.) within the area of multiscreen, service oriented architectures, Web Mashups, mobile computing, electronic government, and technologies for future Web applications. He also participated in HbbTV and W3C standardization activities and contributed to different groups especially to W3C Web and TV IG and W3C Second Screen Presentation CG & WG.
