Sławomir Kukliński received both MSc in 1985, and the Ph.D. degrees in 1994 from Warsaw University of Technology, Institute of Telecommunications, and since then he works as assistant professor there. From about 15 years he is teaching about mobile systems, previously he was teaching about radar systems, and digital signal processing architectures. From more than ten years he also works for Orange Labs Polska S.A. as research expert. In the past his research was focused on the Future Internet, wireless mesh networks and VANET. At present he is focusing on SDN, 5G and autonomic and cognitive techniques applied to network management and control. Actually he is involved in ITU-T standardization of SDN. In his career he was involved in several European projects, including FP6 MIDAS, FP7 4WARD, FP7 EFIPSANS and Celtic COMMUNE (Cognitive Network Management under Uncertainty).
