Training in Secure Software Engineering
News from Sep. 04, 2017
From September 20-22, 2017, the seminar “Secure Software Engineering” will take place at TH Brandenburg. It is addressed to software architects, developers and planners. The aim of the seminar is to understand methods and techniques for the design and implementation of secure software. Registration is possible until September 6, 2017.
Nowadays, IT systems control all central and often security-critical functions in urban infrastructures, cars, trains, factories and airplanes. System quality must be ensured throughout the whole development process in order for such systems to work at all times. Therefore, there is a need for action to improve the quality of software-based systems and to enable the employees to develop secure software and to identify security gaps.
Topics of the seminar are the basic principles of secure software development as well as the motives and methods of attackers, taking into account current customer requirements. Key aspects of the training are Secure Design, Coding and Software Security Tests. In addition, an overview of all security-relevant tasks of the software is given. The different challenges of different development methods, such as Agile, are also addressed.
