TSN, Edge Configuration and OPC UA VDMA Companion Spec Testbeds Outlook
Abstract
LNI 4.0 has developed over 80 use cases with over 180 SMEs. LNI 4.0 also establishes and moderates testbeds. The advantages of the testbeds are the scaling by SMEs in Industrie 4.0 topics, the openness of the SME co-operation with large enterprises and the validation of standardization projects. A total of four testbeds are moderated by LNI 4.0: Time-Sensitive Networks (TSN), Edge Configuration, OPC UA VDMA Companion Specs and Cloud 2 Cloud. The example of TSN clearly shows how standardization validation with the SCI 4.0 is implemented in international standardization bodies such as IEEE and IEC with whom LNI 4.0 has liason contracts. Half of the more than 35 testbed partners are SMEs.
