Sebastian works as digital strategist at Bosch Software Innovations supporting customers on their digital transformation journey. Before, he was managing director of the project office Vietnam of IVU Traffic Technologies AG and was responsible for a large scale digitization project at Vietnam Railways. Sebastian has a research and consulting background in NGN / M2M / IoT and as technical expert for the European Commission. He received a PhD in collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute FOKUS from the Technical University of Berlin. 

While technological advancements are crucial, the success of companies does not solely depend on innovative technology. Especially for established players, it is not easy to succeed in disruptive innovation requiring new business models. Since IoT is widely regarded to disrupt existing industries, this presentation will look into some of the factors for successful IoT business models and introduce the methodological foundation for overcoming existing challenges. Concrete IoT project implementation examples and digital transformation activities from Bosch will be given.
