Students of the University of Cincinnati visit the System Quality Center

On March 19th, twenty students and faculty members from the Carl H. Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati, USA, visited Fraunhofer FOKUS' System Quality Center (SQC) in Berlin. In the course of their study trip, the group is visiting several European cities.

Dr. Tom Ritter, director of the Fraunhofer FOKUS Competence Center SQC, presented  the Fraunhofer Institute as well as technologies and recent projects of the SQC department. In his presentation he talked about open data platforms and SQC's involvement in the promoting of open data on German and European level. Besides GovData.DE, the national German data portal, FOKUS has implemented open data portals for the cities of Berlin, Hamburg und Amsterdam. In addition, FOKUS' scientist Nikolay Tcholtchev presented SQC's project “GeMo” (collaborative eMobility), which aims at the realization of collaborative electric mobility in smart cities trough cloud-based infrastructures and services.
