Abstract

Research And Development On Coordinated Management And Flexible Spectrum Utilization Toward 5G Era

In this presentation, the concept of “micro operator”, which is a way of private 5G network deployment, and our research activities based on the prototypes are introduced. The deployment of micro cells of micro operators can accelerate the expansion of 5G systems coverage areas by working together with cellular operators’ networks.

And new regulation of private 5G named “Local 5G” is also introduced. It is expected to be regulated in Dec. 2019 in Japan, for private companies and local governments.
