Dr. Young-Jo Ko is currently Director of 6G Wireless Transmission Research Section in Future Mobile Communication Research Division at Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), and serves as Chairman of the Technology Committee of 5G Forum in Korea. He received BS, MS and Ph. D. degrees in physics from KAIST in 1992, 1994, and 1998, respectively. He joined ETRI in March, 1998 and has been working on mobile communications. He has also actively participated in the 3GPP standardization of LTE/LTE-Advanced. His current research interests include 5G New Radio and B5G/6G technologies, particularly focusing on the physical layer aspects of radio access.
