Ruth Brown has worked in the telecommunications industry for over 20 years after qualifying with a BEng (hons) in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Kent and an MSc in Telecommunications from University College London. Having spent the majority of her career working in networks and mobility, Ruth is also a Chartered Engineer and member of the IET.

Ruth current works in the Core Converged Networks Research team as a Researcher Manager based at the BT Labs in Suffolk, with a focus on 5G technologies. Key recent interests have included network slicing, 5G low latency use cases and evolution of the Next Generation Mobile Core.
