Stefan Schonegger has been working for B&R since 2006, starting as product manager for control solutions. In 2010 he became manager of the Open Automation Business Unit and in 2012 he took additionally the lead for the company’s global marketing activities. Since June 2018 he serves as B&R's Vice President of the Product Strategy and Innovation activities.

Before joining B&R, Schönegger held several roles as project manager for the development of air traffic control platforms.

Interoperability is essentiall for any IoT application and Edge Computing will be the catalyst toward harmonization and standardization of required communication technologies.
