Abstract

Pre-5G Industrial IoT Test Bed and Field Trial in Taiwan

5G NR together with virtualized Multi-Access Edge Computing and virtualized core network is envisioned to offer flexibility, scalability and ubiquitous access for various vertical applications with their own targeted QoS requirements. In this talk, we will present an Industrial IoT testbed under Taiwan’s 5G project, including the IIoT enterprise system requirement and solution. Some use cases are implemented herein, for example, internet of machine, smart alarm watch, and grinding wheel worn-out detection, which are deployed and demonstrated based on the pre-5G enterprise network infrastructure.
